How can I make maximus only display parent roms in mame?

Someone told me there is an option to only display parent roms in Maximus Arcade... is this true? or where they thinking of another front end?

If it is true, how is this done?

Easy to do. Go to Preferences, options, MAME. (# 2 on the diagram)

Another similar thing you can do (for me I wanted to hide some parents since I only had them to get the child), is just edit your game list not to show them. Of course- I only go the ROMs I actually wanted and play so my list is probably small compared to most peoples, haha.
