Running:
Maximus Arcade v2.10.10 (have also tried 2.09)
Future Pinball 1.9 (latest)
Windows XP Pro SP3
Hi guys, I'm having trouble with getting Future Pinball to exit through Maximus. I have set up MAME, WinUAE, ZSnes and KegaFusion and they all exit just fine using a non-standard exit button (I'm using F11 currently). Future Pinball, however, is being stubbourn.
The problem seems to be that FP is completely taking over the keyboard input and won't let MA receive key presses. Attempting to take a snapshot doesn't work either. The closest I've gotten is by holding down the snap key for a bit, then quitting FP with ESC. MA registered the snapshot button right at the moment FP closed and the little camera noise played. The same happens with the exit button. If I hold down F11 whilst FP is running, then hit ESC to quit FP, Maximus receives the event right as FP closes and quits back to the game list.
I've tried all the different window state modes listed under the Exit tab, and I've tried using Esc as the exit hook as well. I've also raised and lowered the background task priority. I've also tried using ESC as Maximus quit button but all that does is require pressing ESC once to quit FP, then again to restore MA.
I'm getting exactly the same behaviour on my Vista laptop that I use for testing MA and emulators. Is anyone successfully running MA and FP together? Anything I've missed?
