version 2.10 beta 7 released

Postby mameseer » Sat Oct 25, 2008 1:15 pm

Hi all,

Download Maximus Arcade 2.10 beta 7 (45 MB)

Many bug fixes in this beta. Thanks out to everyone for the bug reports posted in the forums and sent to me through email. And thanks to DeLuSioNaL29 for formatting them into a list. I'm now the proud owner of an X-Arcade Tankstick, so I'm open to ideas on the best way to configure MA for use with it :)

NOTE: New beta users, if you haven't gotten your updated registration code email me your existing registration info and I will update it to work with the most recent beta versions.

cheers

Mine still won't exit after a certain period of time. I chose the X-Arcade Tankstick profile in the controller section and changed the right pinball flipper button to exit the emulator and that same button to exit MA with a delay set of 5 seconds of holding down the button. Worked great. My son played a fairly lengthy game of Mario 64 on the Project 64 emulator and yelled "Daaaaad, I can't exit the game again."

Any ideas?

I had problems with the X-Arcade tankstick config also. I took out the config file and mapped it manually and it works fine. The only annoying thing is windows keeps making that error beep sound every time you press a button or move the sticks in the select game menu area.

@kewlmonk

They do indeed make a USB Tankstick. I have one and it includes both a USB and PS2 Y Split on the end of each cable (Panel/Trackball). I just registered this program last night after seeing this fix (wasn't going to do so until the issue was addressed). Well so far so good but will keep you all posted. I love MA and dearly hope the issue is addressed (selfishly) on my USB Tankstick.

I just realized how to fix the beep problem... turn off the win xp sounds in control panel - sounds and audio devices!!
