Zinc not opening in MA (STILL!!!)

Well, I'm in the final stages of configuring my very first cab (I will be posting pics as soon as its done!!), but I still cannot get Zinc to open in MA !! With my new PC, Zinc finally runs at a solid 60fps, but will just not open in MA (I've tried on two different computers, and I've even followed the Delusional's tutorial). I absolutely must get Zinc to work with MA since my cab is just about done. Please help!!! Thanks.

strange are you using ZincGui.exe or just regular zinc ?

I am trying on the 3rd straight computer over the last couple of years, and Zinc still only gives a black screen in MA. I am just about ready to give up on it forever and pretend Zinc doesn't exist. I also followed the tutorial . . nothing. Black.

I've tried both Zinc and ZincGUI, and neither work in MA. After following the tutorial, I can't even get the command line version of Zinc to open at all (even outside of MA). When U double click it, nothing happens. I really do not know what else to do. This is really frustrating!

Any ideas?? I know that I'm not the only person experiencing this problem. I've followed every detail of Delusional's sticky, but it still will not open in MA. I have a feeling that it is some simple setting that I need to change. Please help!!

Unfortunately, I still have not been able to get Zinc to open through MA. Like I said, Zinc GUI runs beautifully outside of MA. In addition, I am also unable to get Zinc.exe to open at all (by trying to double-click it in Windows). I must also stress that I followed the tutorial meticulously (not the custom controls part, though).
Do you think it could be an obvious problem that, as a relative computer novice, I am overlooking? As always, thanks.

Try copying your Zinc directory over to another computer to see if it works. I am curious.

I've tried from scratch on another computer, and Zinc still will not open. Once again, I can't even get Zinc.exe to open outside of MA. When I click it, it flashes for a split second, then nothing happens. Also, as far as the .cfg files go, I am opening them with either Word or Notepad. Is there something else I need to do to get Zinc.exe to open even outside of MA? (The Zinc FE's work fine though outside of MA). Thanks.

Zinc.exe is a command line based program - you cannot just double click it with your mouse and expect it to run.
The easiest way to run zinc in MA is to use the zincgui interface. ( although there is still alot of config editing ).
I would like to see support in MA for the zinc frontend "zenith" this is an awesome frontend with very easy config.
