no problem, glad you found somthing usefull. I haven't been on in a week or so, but if you need something similar in another color (or resolution), just let me know. The moving "character" vids take some time, but the simple swirls are easy now that I've done a few.

Hi Y2k. The purple/blue is the best background i have seen and i really liked the orange sunrise swirl. I think however that it is overall too light to sit in properly with the sunrise theme. There is perhaps too much white in the overall image. Otherwise, great stuff. You've basically added the final touch to my theme and if you create any more, i will certainly use them. I think your stuff fits in nicely with the already cartoony stylings of maximus.

cheers

I didn't create the Sunrise theme, I just used flash to make a rotating version.

I've been using this one.....sunrise colors but deeper/richer. May or may not be what you had in mind, but it's what I'm using now

Once again Y2K very impressive and is perfect for the sunrise theme. Thanks again for contributing to my arcade museum. The backgrounds make all the difference to me!

Y2K . I'm now working on resizing the maximus acidius theme to fit my screen the same as the other themes. I was wondering if you have made a suitable swirling background that may suit the acid green of this theme?

Greetings Everyone!

I'm new to the forums (and newly registered with Maximus Arcade). I'm only scratching the surface with the theme editor right now and I LOVE it. It's so easy to use. I don't know if it's common knowledge or not but - you can use pretty much ANY video clip you find online and use it as the background in your skin! (obviously there are copyright issues with this..but that is common sense right?)

Personally, I use Adobe ImageReady CS2 to convert my video files (.mov, .qt, .mpeg, .avi, etc) into .SWF files for skin creation. It's pretty powerful and lets me tweak just about everything I can think of. (mainly frame delay, frame order, size, etc)

Here is an example of a theme I am working on. (it's still early..keep in mind) The custom sounds are coming along great too!

Also, here is a great resource for loopable, HIGH QUALITY videos. They make amazing backgrounds for your themes!
