Unsupported emulators in Maximus Arcade?

Postby ClarkKent » Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:04 am

I wonder if it would be possible to use unsupported emulators in Maximus Arcade?

I tried to set up Amstrad CPC (with "Ultra 64" section - as I do not use this one at all). Same setup as Atari 800 - with MESS. But it does not work. When starting the frontend I only get the message that the directories are not right or something. Or did I something wrong? Theoretically it should work - only the icon in the frontend would be "Ultra 64" but the real emulator would be Amstrad CPC.

Any idea what to do?

I managed to get the Amstrad CPC emulator using MESS to work in Maximus Arcade. I took the "Commodore 128" section and suddenly it worked!

I only have the problem that the Amstrad CPC does not automatically load the disk images I selected. The emulator starts but I only the the "Ready." message. Then I have to type run "gamename" to start it. That's not cool on a real arcade cab where no keyboard is available...

How can I autostart the games from the Amstrad CPC disk images?
